Arrived in the Twin Cities

We had an uneventful drive from Sioux Falls to St. Paul, Minnesota.  The day was sparkling weather-wise.  Our hotel is right downtown, so we took a walk to see what we could find.

We heard some music and found an outdoor festival in progress.  There were some dancers performing and Peter met a tall woman on stilts, but he felt it would never work out, so we kept walking.

Then we strolled down by the Mississippi River and saw the houseboats and the Show Boat from the University of Minnesota.

The city was full of people because there's a concert tonight across the street at the Excel Energy Center -- Roger Waters of Pink Floyd fame.  We are clueless as to the magnitude of Mr. Waters' talent, but the sheer volume of concert goers( of all ages) indicates this is pretty big.  Our hotel hired extra security and was handing out their noise policy on check in.  I guess we'll find out later just how noisy it will be.

If anyone is familiar with Roger Waters, please send us an e-mail and bring us current.  I am watching out our window, and they are now exiting the concert center and there are police everywhere......and stretch limos.  Neil Diamond is coming in July and Joan would have really enjoyed that.,,,,,,,oh, well.
