Omaha Zoo

We spent most of the day at the Omaha Zoo......considered one of the best in the country.  At 130 acres, it was certainly one of the largest we've ever visited.  And the fact that it offered a top-notch aquarium didn't hurt.  This featured a 70 foot glass tunnel offering underwater views of sharks and other ocean dwellers (much like the Atlanta Aquarium.)

Thankfully, this zoo provided ample shade and lots of seating.  By the end of the day, the temperature was 97 degrees.  My only disappointment was when we got to the Cat Complex.  It appeared to be naptime for almost everyone!  Bummer.

We took the Skyfari Aerial Sky Tram and came as close as we ever have to a giraffe.  The pictures are self explanatory.  A good time was had by all.
