We continued on to a small acquarium and hung out with a stingray. We were allow to touch it, but we declined.
We had to visit the falls for a last look and they continued to be incredible.
We then attended Mass at St. Joseph's Cathedral which was simply gorgeous. It was huge and ten times the size of St. Joseph's Church in Astoria, NY where I grew up.
Moving on we were lucky to catch the 15th Annual Rib Fest - South Dakota's biggest backyard bar-b-que. This is a yearly contest which this year had 8 contestants competing for the People's Choice Award. We tasted a few of the contestant's ribs but did not vote, since we were foreigners.
Leaving the Rib Fest, we came upon a baseball stadium and, lo and behold, a game was just beginning. Game On! And we were able to watch the Sioux Falls Pheasants vs. the Lincoln Salt Dogs from Nebraska. Actually, the Pheasants are not a minor league team, as we thought. They are a professional team that is not affiliated with the major leagues. This was new to us!
