We then traveled west to Oklahoma, taking the Cherokee Freeway, which was really not free. This was the only toll road so far on our journey.
Luckily for Joan, the speed limit was high enough to avoid being stopped. (We all know of Joan's history with Highway Patrol and Police Officers.)
Below is a view of the road, so you can see what rush hour looks like in Oklahoma
Most of the scenery involved COWS......many many cows.
We arrived in Muskogee and later went out to eat at Oakie's. Unfortunately, it was closed for Easter; so we looked around and found Hamlin's El Toro Restaurant where we enjoyed a traditional Tex/Mex Easter Dinner.....leg of lamb it was not! (Amy, please tell Andy I ate Mexican food!)
