As we drove from Kansas heading west, the landscape did not change -- flat as a board. Even when we got to Colorado, the landscape stayed the same for awhile.
After awhile, we could see the mountains in the distance; but they were still far away:
In the afternoon looking for something to do, we drove to the Celestial Seasonings factory to visit and take a tour. It was very interesting to see how the product is made and see all the mechanized equipment and packaging in action. There was a peppermint room that was behind a garage door. When the tour guide opened the door and invited us in, the fragrance was overwhelming and Joan and a few others stepped back out. I manned up and my sinuses got a good clearing out!
We were invited to sample all the teas we wanted.....sone were better than others. The gift shop had a beautiful assortment of tea pots and cups.
Here's Joan standing next to a gown made of tea bags! It was elegant. Isn't she cute?
To my Harris Teeter friends: I believe Celestial Seasonings is one of the products we carry. Since I spent a good hour learning about the processes involved in making this product, does that qualify as an hour of product knowledge training?
Pleasant surprise at this hotel. We have been enjoying free breakfast each day at the Hampton Inns. Here in Boulder, we are at Homewood Suites and they include free dinner as well Mondays through Thursdays.....cool!
